1. Company Profile
Catena Inspection & Engineering Services Ltd is an established inspection, testing, fabrication and engineering company operating from our site located close to the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire border. The fabrication workshop has an area of 5500sq ft covered floor-space.
Material processing is carried out using cold saws, machining equipment and gas/oxy cutting equipment and where possible profiled items are sourced from ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO45001 suppliers.
The company offers a welding service to coded standards and an on-site proof load testing and thorough examination service by qualified engineers. We operate a varied product range both within specified fields and general fabrication and engineering.
Our products and services are used in a variety of industry sectors including Defence, Logistics, Aerospace, MOD, Local Government, Construction and the National Health Service.
We offer a full sub-contract design service, or design and build, and can also provide project management services.
2. Introduction to the Company Integrated Management System (IMS)
We operate an accredited ISO9001, 14001 and 45001 combined Integrated Management System (IMS) which is controlled by referenced Forms, Procedures, Work Instructions, Risk Assessments and other documents. There are QR codes on noticeboards and equipment which link to relevant information, and you are encouraged to scan them and ask any questions as they arise. Documents can be emailed or Hardcopies printed if appropriate / required.

3. Administration
Please see your Contract, Role Profile and the Staff Handbook for any further information specific to your role, hours, renumeration etc.
4. Training
Any mandatory training will be detailed in your Contract, other than that the company will identify training needs as required for the role you perform. It is expected that you will also let us know if you feel any training may be of benefit, which the Management Team will consider on a case by case basis. Occasionally training may be off-site and potentially over several days, in which case you woiuld need to be able to stay away if required, the company provides accomodation, travel and food expenses in the situation.
5. Driving Declaration
CLICK HERE to complete Form CCL005 which is our Annual Driving Declaration. You will be asked to complete this annually and you must advise us if any changes occur in between times, i.e. points on your license, unable to drive for health reasons etc
6. Who’s Who
Personal Introductions will be undertaken by your appointed host at the beginning of your first day.
7. Company Layout
The premises consists of the workshop which is roughly divided into 3 departments: Fabrication (general and pipework), Machining and Lifting (LOLER inspection and Proof Load Testing). There is also a Stores room where we keep some Lifting Equipment stock and store goods in / out.
There is a toilet, canteen and locker room area to the side of the workshop which is generally used by the workshop based employees.
Attached to the workshop is an Office block, which has 1 large office housing all office staff, along with a seperate meeting room, canteen, kitchen and male and female toilets.
